The country reported 313.570 confirmed cases of coronavirus with PCR tests. Of these, 719 were registered as new cases in just 24 hours.
According to the report of the Ministry of Health, 271.847 patients recovered, 34.369 were discharged from hospital, 736.798 cases were discarded and 16.504 people died between confirmed and probable of having contracted the virus.
In relation to the number of deaths, in one day they increased to 26. Of them, 24 died from Covid-19 and 2 are presumed to be from the virus.
Pichincha continues to be the province with the highest number of infections, registering 108.332 cases. Guayas follows with 40.740; and Manabí with 23.848 cases.
In the case of the cantons, Quito presents 100.106 cases, followed by Guayaquil with 27.222.
