Private hospitals and those of the Guayaquil Public Health network are working at the top of their capacity, due to the fact that, in recent weeks, between 950 and 1.300 new cases of Covid-19 have been registered.
At the Hospital del Seguro Social, Teodoro Maldonado Carbo, the Intensive Care Unit is at full capacity. This same situation is repeated in other units of the health home.
The authorities of the cantonal health table reported that in recent weeks between 950 and 1300 new infections of Covid-19 have been registered. Hence, hospitals are at the top.
In December 2020, there were 186 deaths from Covid-19. In January 2021 the number rose to 361. For its part, the figure reached 349 in February and so far in March, the deaths total 414, that is, in Guayaquil only in four months 1.310 people have died from coronavirus.
The province of Guayas reports 42.304 positive cases of Covid-19, 28.240 only in Guayaquil.
