The Military Geographical Institute (IGM) would have ended with the printing of the ballots of the presidential binomials for the elections of the second round, scheduled for April 11. The distribution of the electoral kits in the three foreign constituencies began this last Tuesday.
The IGM printed 13’106,890 ballots for the dignities of president and vice president of the Republic, of the candidates of the UNES alliances with Andrés Arauz and Carlos Rabascall, and Guillermo Lasso and Alfredo Borrero for CREO-PSC.
The Institute’s executed printing commitment reached 100% and 26.65% has already been delivered to the Montgar company that integrates the electoral packages, hired by the National Electoral Council (CNE), the public entity responsible for organizing the electoral process.
Councilor José Cabrera indicated that since yesterday, Tuesday, March 23, the distribution of the electoral packages, with other voting implements, to the three foreign constituencies such as Europe, Asia and Oceania began; United States and Canada; and, Latin America and the Caribbean.
“It is being sent with time due to distances, restrictions on flights due to the pandemic and customs clearance,” Cabrera said in an interview in a local Ecuadoradio outlet on March 24.
