The consultant and university professor, Omar Maluk, published his survey, prior to the presidential debate for the second round, and showed that Andrés Arauz, candidate for UNES, would be the winner of the ballot with 58.7% of valid votes, while Guillermo Lasso, presidential by CREO, would obtain 41.3%.
Maluk conducted 8.504 surveys in 12 provinces of the country, in 48 cantons and 160 sectors, with the face-to-face technique, which was developed from March 5 to 20, 2021.
In the study, it is concluded that Arauz would win the presidency of Ecuador in the second round against Guillermo Lasso, which will be held on April 11. The candidate for UNES obtained 58.7% of valid votes and the candidate for CREO 41.3%.
In the segregation that includes white, null and undecided votes, it is shown that Arauz has 36.9% intention to vote, while Lasso 26%. In the same way, the number of invalid votes would reach 21.6%; the white votes to 3.8% and the current indecision is of 11.7%.
