Authorities confirmed that cybercrimes are growing against women. Several people have commented that they found fake profiles of their accounts, with links to an adult content distribution website.

For their part, experts from the National Police have confirmed that these crimes range from scams to theft of private data from the profile they copy. The most popular accounts for criminals are those that have a large following.

Facebook and other social networks have developed a verification policy to help eliminate fake accounts. Highly received users who were verified by social media usually have a blue badge next to their name.
