Ecuador registered 358 new infections of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours and already adds 286.725 cases in total, this March 2, 2021. The number of deaths also rose to 15.850, 18 more in one day.
The provinces most affected by the Covid-19 pandemic in the country are: Pichincha with 100.687 infections; Guayas 36.376; Manabí 20.561.
According to the latest report from the Ministry of Health, 11.095 people died with a positive diagnosis and 4.755 died with suspicion of carrying the respiratory virus.
This Tuesday, there is a slight decrease in hospital occupancy. Today there are 835 stable internees and 517 with a reserved prognosis. In total, there are 1.352 patients. While 123 more people were discharged from hospital.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 247.898 people have recovered from the disease, which represents 86.63% of the total infected. In the last week, from February 22 to 28, there were 9.081 more recovered.
