Ecuador: Quick count for the 2021 elections will include 6.05% of the electoral roll in Ecuador

The CNE hired 2.425 people who would send the results of the minutes of 2.425 polling stations, through a mobile app developed by the electoral body.

This Sunday, February 7, Ecuadorians will go to the polls to elect the new authorities that will govern for the next 4 years. Therefore, it was confirmed that the quick count, which shows the trend of the elections, will comprise 6.05% of the electoral roll.

The first details report that after the polls close at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, 793.603 voters will be processed, out of a universe of more than 13 million people. The first data will be released from 8:00 p.m., according to counselor Luis Verdesoto.

Sofía Estrella, Director of Statistics at the CNE, confirmed that the institution hired 2.425 people, who will transmit the results of the minutes through an app developed by the ICT Directorate of the electoral body.

The operators will be distributed in 2.425 voting receiving boards (JRV) that are equivalent to 6.25% of the 39.915 authorized in Ecuador and abroad. Their work will begin when the members of the JRV carry out the scrutiny and publish the minutes.

When the results are processed with a 1% margin of error, according to the CNE, the councilors must inform the citizens of the trends of the elections in the company of the national and international media and also the observers.
