February 2021, the country had 258.607 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 15.013 deaths due to the pandemic.
According to the latest report from the Ministry of Health, 10.319 people died with a positive diagnosis and 4.694 died with suspicion of carrying the respiratory virus.
This Monday there are 821 stable hospitalized and 497 with a reserved prognosis. In total, there are 1.318 interned in one day. While 46 more people were discharged from hospital.
Since the pandemic began, the country has registered 220.398 recovered patients, which represents 85.4% of the total infected. In this last week, the largest number of recovered patients was registered. From February 1 to 7, the country had 10.584 people who overcame the disease.
Pichincha reports 154 new infections and one more death in one day. The province, which reports two positive cases of the new British variant, reaches 90.479 diagnosed with the virus and 2.435 deaths. Quito adds 153 more infected and the total number of cases in the Ecuadorian capital rises to 83.544.
