Guillermo Lasso, from CREO, maintains the hope of moving to the second electoral round scheduled for next April 11.
That aspiration is based on the electoral control carried out by the group he represents.
“There is no doubt that we will be in the second round. But my electoral control system is not the authority, but the National Electoral Council (CNE), and we will wait for it to pronounce itself.
We maintain absolute faith and tranquility that we will be in the second round and that we will convene a broad national unity to carry out a government of national unity” Lasso said.
The CREO candidate stated that he will wait for the official results of the CNE, once he concludes the count of 100% of the minutes, this includes the analysis of the minutes with news.
At the moment, only Andrés Arauz, from UNES, has assured his passage to the second round, with 32.38% support, according to CNE calculations until 11:00 this Wednesday, February 10. Meanwhile, Yaku Pérez, from Pachakutik got 19.70% and Lasso 19.59%.
