Ecuador reports 295 new infections and 11 more deaths in the last 24 hours. This February 22, 2021, the country has a total of 274.968 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 15.547 deaths due to the pandemic.
According to the latest report from the Ministry of Health, 10.807 people died with a positive diagnosis and 4.740 died with suspicion of carrying the respiratory virus.
This Monday, the country has 721 stable hospitalized patients and 495 with a reserved prognosis. In total, there are 1.216 interned in one day. While 72 more people were discharged from hospital. Hospital occupancy continues to the limit in several cities, especially in Intensive Care Units (ICU).
Doctors warned that these weeks the contagions, product of the Carnival Holiday and the registered agglomerations, will be reflected.
Since the start of the pandemic, Ecuador has reported 238.817 recovered patients, representing 86.95% of the total infected. In this last week, from February 15 to 21, 8.440 more citizens overcame the disease.
