Ecuador registers 2.137 new infections and 58 deaths in the last 24 hours. This Thursday, February 11, 2021, the country has a total of 262.213 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 15.174 deaths due to the pandemic.
According to the latest report from the Ministry of Health, 10.461 people died with a positive diagnosis and 4.713 died with suspicion of carrying the respiratory virus.
This Thursday, there were 751 stable hospitalized patients and 476 with a reserved prognosis. The total number of interned in a day is 1.227. While 65 more people were discharged from hospital.
Since the start of the pandemic, Ecuador reports 220.398 recovered patients, which represents 85.33% of the total infected.
Pichincha has 780 new infections and 11 more deaths in the last 24 hours. The province, which registers two cases of the new British variant of COVID-19, registers 91.898 diagnosed with coronavirus and 2.451 deaths. Quito adds 752 more infected and amounts to 84.864 infected.
At the same time, the Ministry of Health is carrying out the vaccination plan, with just 8.000 doses. This Thursday began the application of the second dose to those who received the vaccine on January 21. The second batch of Pfizer vaccines is expected to arrive in the week of February 18.
