(Prensa Latina) Bolivian President Luis Arce on Wednesday highlighted the state of his country’s relations with Russia, during a telephone conversation with his counterpart, Vladimir Putin, with whom he analyzed joint economic projects and the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
‘We will continue to strengthen relations with our sister nation (Russia), giving priority to the fight against Covid-19; but also working on joint economic and social projects to benefit our peoples. #VamosASalirAdelante’, Luis Arce tweeted, while sharing Putin’s publication on this matter.
Both presidents debated on expanding cooperation to other sectors and also paying close attention to the fight against the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus and the administration of the Sputnik-V vaccine by virtue of an agreement signed in December to acquire 5.2 million doses.
Russian Charge d’Affaires to Bolivia Iakov Fedorov said on Tuesday on Bolivia TV that they agreed to reactivate the Nuclear Research and Technology Center in order to manufacture isotopes to treat cancer and radiate food for export.
Fedorov ratified Moscow’s willingness to support Bolivia’s requests to increase the Covid-19 vaccine doses.
