This Friday, January 8, 2021, the president of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Diana Atamaint, reported that the printing of the electoral ballots for the dignity of president and vice president has an advance of 14% in the Military Geographical Institute (IGM).
In the case of ballots for assembly members abroad, she pointed out that they have already completed 100% of the printing and the preparation of the suffrage documents for provincial assembly members is still in progress with 62%.
Of the aspiring national legislators, 21% are printed and, despite the delays in sending the information to the IGM, the process is progressing, said Atamaint.
Regarding the printing of the Andean parliamentary ballots, until January 7, not a single ballot has been printed because there are still pending appeals in the Contentious Electoral Tribunal (TCE).
In addition, this morning she delivered the Biosafety Protocol for the prevention of Covid-19 during the campaigns for the next elections on February 7, 2021.
The regulations consider the measures to be complied with in the face-to-face activities allowed in this electoral stage. According to Atamaint, this action seeks to take care of the health of voters.
The CNE will provide all municipalities with the methodology so that they can better organize the walks and caravans, the only face-to-face activities allowed by the electoral body.
