The authorities presume that the social network created a recruitment system to “intentionally” prevent the application of US citizens.
This Thursday, December 3, 2020, the United States Department of Justice reported that it will sue Facebook for “employment discrimination.” The US authorities believe that the social network “reserved” 2.600 jobs for foreigners and not for local people.
In a statement, the Justice Department reported that “Facebook created a hiring system” that has intentionally prevented “qualified Americans” from applying for jobs.
The social network would not have published these places on the internet and would be “saving” them so that workers who have a temporary visa can make it permanent. For its part, Facebook reported that it is collaborating with all authorities to solve this unforeseen event.
According to several US media, the process against Facebook is advancing in record time, for which it is believed that the government wants to take the case to court before Donald Trump leaves the presidency, on January 20.
