The provinces that registered the most new cases this week are: Carchi, Galápagos, Morona Santiago, Cañar and Azuay.
The Ecuadorian Ministry of Health reported that Covid-19 cases in the country continue to increase. Pichincha continues to be the province most affected by the coronavirus, since it registers more than 70,000 positive cases.
The MSP maintains that all provinces are reporting increases in infections, because “community transmission” is still in force in the country. Provinces such as Guayas, Los Ríos, Esmeraldas and Sucumbíos reported a decrease in their infections.
On the other hand, provinces such as Morona Santiago, Carchi, Azuay, Cañar and Galápagos continue to report an increase in positive cases of Covid-19, compared to previous epidemiological weeks.
This past weekend, agglomerations continued to be observed in some cities of the country, for which reason the authorities continue to ask people for more understanding regarding biosecurity measures and respect the new restrictions imposed by the government.
