The international oversight is made up of renowned experts, academics and political figures.
The president of the National Electoral Council (CNE) of Venezuela, Indira Alfonzo, welcomed the international observers who will participate in the legislative elections next Sunday.
The rector Alfonzo highlighted that the CNE’s Strategic Operations Center will be at the disposal of the observers and from this space the official speeches on electoral day and its results will be made.
She added that CNE has the operational, technological and biosanitary conditions to carry out this democratic party and guarantees all electoral processes with unrestricted respect for the law and the will expressed in the results.
She noted that “at this time, we are sure that we have the technical, operational, technological and biosanitary conditions to carry out this democratic party, in which we will elect the new National Assembly for the period 2021-2026”.
Participants from Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Ecuador, Spain, United States, France, Guatemala, Iran, Ireland, Paraguay, Romania, Togo and Turkey, will be joined by others who will arrive between this Friday the 4th and the Saturday 5.
Likewise, the president of the CNE, Indira Alfonzo, greeted former Ecuadorian president Rafael Correa, who is part of the international team that will accompany the elections to the National Assembly.
