UNES binomial rejects a new attempt to prevent its electoral participation

“None of these actions or intimidation tactics with the judicialization of politics demotivate us. We will continue to visit the provinces and cantons”, said Andrés Arauz

Andrés Arauz and Carlos Rabascall, a binomial for the << Unión por la Esperanza >> (UNES) alliance, rejected a new attempt to prevent their participation in the February 2021 elections. They criticized that, once again, it is a matter of placing unfounded accusations against the attorney of his campaign.

Rabascall regretted that a policy of hatred and persecution is maintained. Now, he said, it is directed against Santiago Díaz, attorney for Alliance 1-5. He called on citizens to be not possessing “unfounded imaginary.”

Andrés Arauz, candidate for the Presidency, reiterated that the government’s priority has been “hatred and revenge.”

The candidates refer to a publication in a digital medium that speaks of an alleged return of SENAIN. They warn that the next step is for the Prosecutor’s Office to request urgent actions, without legal support.

“None of these actions or intimidation tactics with the judicialization of politics demotivate us. We will continue to visit provinces and cantons ”, he stated.

Arauz also warned that his candidacy is still not firm and that the Contentious Electoral Tribunal (TCE) does not respond, not even, on the processing of the last appeal to the UNES binomial.

14 candidates are eligible to participate in the next elections in February 2021. It is expected that in the coming days the TCE will qualify the Arauz-Rabascall pair.
