The announcement was made by leaders of the mining unions together with an emergency declaration after the attack.
Bolivian mining leaders rejected the attack suffered in the early morning hours by the president-elect, Luis Arce, and announced their mobilization for the protection of the president.
The public statement came through a spokesperson for the Bolivian Union Federation of Mining Workers, who announced that his organization “declares itself in emergency” due to the attack on the MAS campaign house.
The union announced that more than 500 miners will arrive in La Paz to guarantee the inauguration of Luis Arce and avoid irregularities such as those that have occurred in recent days. These irregularities include a so-called Civic Strike in Santa Cruz, led by the defeated candidate Luis F. Camacho.
The de facto government has not yet pronounced with a clear and explicit condemnation of the attack.
Luis Arce and the vice president-elect, David Choquehuanca, attend an act of symbolic inauguration with indigenous authorities. The formal swearing in before the plenary session of the Plurinational Legislative Assembly will be on Sunday.
