Ecuador registers 147.033 cases of COVID-19 and 12.191 deaths

Ecuador reports 205 new infections and 3 more deaths in the last 24 hours, being one of the days with the fewest cases and deaths in one day. This October 11, 2020, the country has a total of 147.033 infected with COVID-19 and 12.191 deaths related to the pandemic.

According to the Ministry of Health, 7.949 people died with a positive prognosis. To this number are added the 4.342 deaths that were probably due to the virus. With 3 deaths, this Sunday is one of the days with the fewest deaths reported daily.

The hospitalization areas also have a slight reduction in their occupation. This day 518 stable hospitalized patients and 360 with a reserved prognosis were registered. That is, 878 patients are hospitalized in one day, while 35 more people were discharged from the hospital.

With regard to the recovered patients, this Sunday another 7.623 more people were added who overcame the disease. In total, there are 128.134 nationwide.

Pichincha has 152 new infections and the only three deaths, registered at the national level, occurred in this province. The number of infected in Pichincha, the epicenter of the pandemic in the country, amounts to 45.958 infected and 1.917 deaths. Quito adds 147 confirmed cases of respiratory disease and reports a total of 42.155 cases in the Ecuadorian capital.
