Hundreds of Protestants Arrested in the US

The mobilizations take place after the murder of the Afro-descendant Walter Wallace Jr. at the hands of the Philadelphia Police.

About 170 people were arrested in protests in Philadelphia for the murder of 27-year-old African-American Walter Wallace Jr. by police.

Philadelphia Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw told the media that 81 new arrests were made on Tuesday, October 27, including for assaulting police officers.

Among the detainees, 53 people are accused of robbery and 297 cases of looting were also reported during the days of mobilizations and clashes with riot control forces were recorded.

The Pennsylvania National Guard mobilized to Philadelphia in an attempt to quell the riots and riots, claiming to “protect life, property and the right to assemble and peacefully protest.”

Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw, quoted by the magazine, stated that the video of the murder “raises many questions” and announced the launch of an investigation into the matter.
