Ecuador has met macroeconomic conditions imposed by the IMF until September, according to Mauricio Pozo

He announced that on October 27 he will travel to the United States where he will meet with the director of the organization Kristalina Georgieva.

The Minister of Economy and Finance, Mauricio Pozo, reported that Ecuador has complied with the macroeconomic conditions imposed by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) until September, which, he said, guarantees the delivery of the second disbursement for USD2,000 million until the end of 2020.

Pozo indicated that the only requirement that remains to be met is the approval of the Anti-Corruption Law in the National Assembly either at the end of November or in the first days of December, for which, he indicated that he has already spoken with the president of the Legislative Assembly, César Litardo, to request agility in the process.

On the other hand, the official announced that next Tuesday, October 27, he will travel to Washington, where he plans to meet with the managing director of the IMF, Kristalina Georgieva; with US Treasury authorities and with the Ecuadorian ambassador in that country, Ivonne Baki, with the aim of coordinating actions aimed at promoting the Trade Agreement with the US.

The minister explained that the revision of goals with the IMF are quarterly in 2020 and quarterly in 2021.
