TCE approves participation of correísta alliance in 2021 election

The “Unión por la Esperanza” has Andrés Arauz and Carlos Rabascall as candidates for the presidency and vice-presidency.

The Contentious Electoral Court (TCE) of Ecuador approved this Sunday the participation of the political alliance promoted by Rafael Correa, “Unión por la Esperanza”, in the general elections of February 7, 2021.

Faced with the favorable ruling, Andrés Arauz and Carlos Rabascall, candidates for the presidency and vice-presidency, respectively for the aforementioned political organization, thanked hundreds of their supporters, who, concentrated in front of the TCE, demanded the electoral participation of Unión por la Esperanza.

The “Unión por la Esperanza”, until last Friday, had not received the approval of the National Electoral Council to compete in the upcoming presidential elections
