UNES registers Carlos Rabasacall as a candidate for the Vice Presidency of Ecuador

Leaders of the ” Ahora” movement filed an appeal with the TCE to prevent this registration

The political alliance Unión por la Esperanza (UNES) registered its candidate for the Vice Presidency, Carlos Rabascal, who will be Andrés Arauz’s running mate.

Once the National Electoral Council (CNE) disqualified Rafael Correa’s candidacy for not meeting the requirements, it gave 48 hours for them to register a replacement.

This Friday, October 2, the correismo binomial for the February 2021 elections is specified.

Now, the electoral body must qualify their application so that their candidacy remains firm.
