Julian Assange a high suicide risk

A psychiatrist tells the court that the Wikileaks founder has prepared for his death if his extradition to the US is allowed

The founder of Wikileaks presents auditory hallucinations and different symptoms related to the autism spectrum.

The psychiatrist and emeritus professor of neuropsychiatry at the Colegio del Rey university, Michael Kopelman warned this Monday in London: ‘He reported auditory hallucinations, which were voices either inside or outside his head, somatic hallucinations, funny bodily experiences, these have now disappeared

The Wikileaks founder has hidden “a razor blade as a means of self-harm and presents obsessive thoughts about ways to commit suicide,” the aforementioned psychiatrist testified.

Kopelman added that in Assange’s family there have been several cases of suicide before, so he could have a predisposition to clinical depression.

At the same time, Kopelman pointed out that his patient also suffers from loss of sleep and weight, something that has been caused by other psychiatric disorders that record auditory hallucinations and different symptoms related to the autism spectrum.

It’s fluctuated a bit, his appetite has fluctuated, he’s had persistent problems with sleep and his mood state is worst in the early hours of the morning and that’s stayed consistent.

Julian Assange founded Wikileaks in 2006, which released confidential information about the United States’ involvement in the wars against Afghanistan and Iraq.

The charges against the Australian journalist include computer conspiracy, accusations of recruiting hackers and violation of the United States Espionage Act.
