Ecuador reports 815 new infections and 28 more deaths in the last 24 hours. In total, the country has 117.175 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 10.427 deaths from this pandemic.
According to the Ministry of Health, there are 117.175 infected, of which 108.219 were confirmed with a PCR test. In addition, 6.674 people died with a positive diagnosis and 3.753 with suspicion of carrying the virus.
At the national level, there are 859 stable hospitalized patients and 377 with a reserved prognosis. In total, this Friday there are 1.236 patients hospitalized in one day, while 149 people were discharged from the hospital. In recent weeks, the waiting list for the admission of people to the Intensive Care Unit was reduced, reaching at its highest peak to more than 90 people waiting per day.
Since the pandemic began, there have been 86.252 recovered patients. With an average of 5.000 people overcoming the disease per week, this indicator is updated every Sunday.
Pichincha reports 142 new infections and four more deaths in the last 24 hours. In total, the most affected province has 24.705 cases of COVID-19. Quito adds 123 new infected and amounts to 22.281 cases in the Ecuadorian capital.
