Abdalá Bucaram Pulley declares himself politically persecuted and hopes that the US will grant him asylum

The Bucaram family is investigated for the alleged commission of various crimes.

After the arrest of his father Abdalá Bucaram Ortiz and the situation his family faces due to the latest events that link them to various crimes, Abdalá Bucaram Pulley declared himself politically persecuted and awaits asylum from the United States.

In an interview on CNN, Bucaram Pulley, better known as Dalo, noted that his father is worried about his life.

“I have spoken with him, he is very worried about his life. They don’t want Abdalá Bucaram in prison, they want him dead, that’s my conclusion, ”he said.

Dalo said that he hopes that President Lenín Moreno will stop the persecution by members of his Government.

He commented that he does not consider himself a fugitive from justice, but rather a politically persecuted person, for which he applied for asylum in the United States, the country in which he is currently.

“I am not a fugitive from justice, I am a political persecuted by the Ecuadorian Government as an asylum seeker in the United States of America, where I have a very solid case to demonstrate all the persecution that is being subjected not only who speaks to him but all my family on the part of political and judicial actions of the Ecuadorian Government against all those who intend to participate in the next electoral process, “said Bucaram Pulley.

He said that he has no lawsuit against him and that the investigations are in the procedural stage.

Dalo Bucaram appears in the group of people investigated by the Prosecutor’s Office for the alleged crime of illicit association. Case in which his friend Daniel Salcedo is prosecuted, although he denied having a business relationship with him.

He even plans to submit a petition to the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) to stop what he considers an abuse against his entire family,

Regarding the situation of Israeli citizens, he mentioned that they were forced to involve his family and that was why his father agreed to talk.
