Brazil reports more than 117.000 deaths from Covid-19

During the last day, more than 1.000 people lost their lives in Brazil due to Covid-19.

Brazil reached the figure of 117.665 deaths from Covid-19 since it registered the first death in March, according to the latest updates from the Ministry of Health of the South American country.

The news comes when Brazil is close to reaching four million infections by Covid-19, with 3’717.156 being recorded in the last part, which accounted for some 47.161 new cases.

In this way, Brazil reaffirms itself as the second place in the world ranking for the most infections of Covid-19, only surpassed by the United States.

The state of Sao Paulo continues as the epicenter of the pandemic in the country, registering a total of 29.194 deaths, among 776.134 infected.

The second state in number of confirmed deaths is Rio de Janeiro, with some 15.700 deaths and a total of 216.675 confirmed cases.

The director of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, Kiril Dmitriev, hinted in the Russian Chamber of Deputies that Brazil would be one of the countries that could start producing and exporting, next October, the Gamaleya vaccine, Sputnik-V, against the Covid-19.
