According to the Ministry of Health, there are 110.549 infections, of which 101.593 were confirmed with a PCR test. In addition, 6.410 people died with a positive prognosis and 3.703 probably died from the virus.
At the national level, there are 835 stable hospitalized patients and 370 with a reserved prognosis. In total, there are 1.205 patients hospitalized in one day. While 72 people were discharged from hospital.
Since the pandemic began in the country, 80.264 patients have recovered from the disease. The figure is updated every Sunday. In this last week, from August 17 to 23, there were 6.648 more people who recovered.
Pichincha reports 400 new infections and two more deaths in the last 24 hours. In total, the province most affected by the pandemic in Ecuador has 23.083 confirmed cases of COVID-19. Quito adds 355 new infected and the total number of infected in the Ecuadorian capital rises to 20.853.
