“Otto Sonnenholzner for me you will be the best Vice President” says a tweet allegedly written by Fabricio Díaz with a photo of the missing young man.
With total indignation Alexandra Córdova, mother of young David Romo who disappeared on May 16, 2013, questioned the misuse of her son’s photo for political issues.
But it is not only the photo of Romo that circulates on social networks to speak well of the Government, but also that of Efraín Segarra, ex-driver of the El Comercio newspaper who was kidnapped and killed by the FARC dissident Oliver Sinisterra Front, along with journalists Javier Ortega and Paúl Rivas.
Segarra’s photo is identified on twitter as Castulo Henriquez, supposed professor of History; while David Romo is like Fabricio Díaz who likes music and adventure.
What is striking is that in both profiles the management of the now ex-president Otto Sonnenholzner stands out. This caused rejection and criticism from the tweeting community who have shown solidarity with the families of Romo and Segarra.
They reject the political use of the photos of Romo and Segarra without caring about the pain that their relatives still experience. Romo’s case is still not resolved, the young university student is still missing.
While the circumstances in which the El Comercio newspaper team was assassinated remain unclear. In both cases the regime has remained silent and neither has advanced in the judicial system.
