The Argentine research company Trespuntozero published a comparative report of Latin American perceptions, evaluation and attitudes towards the Covid-19 pandemic and its socio-political repercussions.
This document shows the perception of ten countries in the region regarding the management of the health crisis and places Ecuador as the country that has handled this situation the worst.
The universe that was taken into account for this study are people over 18 years of age residing in each of the countries with internet access from a PC or smart mobile phone. The sample size was 1,000 people per country and the margin of error is 3.1%.
A question shows that Ecuador is the country with the worst perception and confidence of its Government to prevent and combat the coronavirus. In this question, 79.5% of people believe that the government’s work has been bad or very bad.
Similarly, 69% of people consider that the National Government is doing less than necessary to face the pandemic. Only 13% of people believe that the country is taking the right measures.
In another question, it was known that only 14% of Ecuadorians trust the health system and 81% have little or no confidence.
On the other hand, 82.8% of Ecuadorians consider that the country is worse prepared than other Latin American nations to control and prevent the coronavirus
