About 80 officials will leave the institution.
The Bank of the Ecuadorian Social Security Institute (BIESS) reported that at least 76 people will be dismissed.
In a statement, the entity indicated that the measure follows a “efficiency and sustainability” process that began in September last year.
According to the institution, from September to December 2019, a first saving of 13% was achieved in personnel.
In 2018, the payroll was 551 people and at the end of 2020 it is projected to have 475 servers. What for the entity would imply a 15% saving.
The separation was carried out after an analysis in which inconsistencies between profiles and staff were detected in various areas of the Bank, lack of coherence between the current salary scale and the salaries of the final appointments.
The BIESS indicated that the optimization process will not affect the procedures carried out by users.
