In its Twitter account, the indigenous organization maintained that the Constitution has been trampled underfoot.
The Confederation of Indigenous Nationalities of Ecuador (Conaie) questioned President Lenin Moreno’s Report to the Nation.
In its Twitter account, the Conaie criticized the president talking about cases of corruption, when “the Constitution is trampled on by the Presidency of the Republic.”
The indigenous organization described the handling of the health emergency as “disastrous” and mentioned that the country is governed by tax evading economic and financial groups.
“Blow after blow to the working class and popular sectors of Ecuador, but economic groups are forgiven USD 4.5 billion,” says one of the tweets.
In turn, Conaie said that taking advantage of the pandemic, the measures dictated by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) were implemented and the National Assembly passed laws that go against workers.
In this context, the organization published a small video in which the dismissals of which some citizens have been victims during the health emergency are evidenced, and without speaking directly of a protest, the hashtag #LaLuchaVaPorqueVa was suggested
