The Colombian Ministry of Health reported on Wednesday that there were 258 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of infections to 6,207.
Likewise, the South American country recorded nine deaths from covid-19 in one day, totaling 278 deaths since the beginning of the epidemic. Meanwhile, the total number of patients recovered by coronavirus amounted to 1,411.
The capital Bogotá has the highest number of confirmed coronavirus cases, with 2,543; it is followed by the department of Valle del Cauca, with 904 infections; and Antioquia, with 468 infected.
As of Tuesday, Colombia recorded 5,949 positive cases of covid-19 and a total of 269 deaths. (C.D.A.)
