Since the covid-19 pandemic began, the United States has received 26 million job applications.

The NBC News network emphasizes that in just one month, the American country lost all the jobs it created after the 2008 crisis.

The US Department of Labor reported that last week 4.4 million laid-off workers processed unemployment claims. However, this number is lower compared to the 5.2 million forms registered by the United States.

Since mid-March, about one in six American workers has lost their job. In an interview with a television outlet David G. Blanchflower, professor of economics at Dartmouth College (New Hampshire, USA) said that the unemployment rate for April could reach 20%.

On the other hand, yesterday the President of the United States, Donald Trump, announced that almost half of the country is preparing to end the confinement and that the country is once again open to businesses that were suspended after the coronavirus epidemic.
