The province has 779 citizens infected with the pandemic.
The province of Pichincha registered, this Friday, April 17, 2020, 779 positive cases for covid-19, according to the figures provided by the Provincial Operations Committee (COE).
In relation to the day before, there are 43 more infections.
By cantons, the figures are distributed: 720 in the Metropolitan District of Quito; 30 in the Rumiñahui canton; 22 in Mejía; 3 in Pedro Vicente Maldonado; 2 in Pedro Moncayo; and, 1 in Cayambe.
The novelty is that Puerto Quito registers 1 person infected with the pandemic.
San Miguel de los Bancos is the only canton that does not present infected citizens.
Of the 4,005 samples taken, 1,946 cases were discarded and there are 1,280 suspected cases.
In the province, 38 people died from the pandemic. In Quito 36, in Pedro Vicente Maldonado 1 and in Mejía 1.
