Monte Sinaí Hospital will have a container of corpses for a health emergency

The Ministry of Health will indicate where the other two containers will be located

The mayor of Guayaquil, Cynthia Viteri, reported that they will install 3 containers for the corpses that are removed and the first will be located at the Monte Sinaí Hospital, which will be exclusively for attending to coronavirus cases.

These actions arise from the crisis in the management of corpses in Guayas, the province most affected with the highest number of infected and deceased nationally. Viteri, on his Twitter account, thanked Javier Game, of the Citikold Group, for the delivery of the structures.

The other two containers will be located where the authorities of the Ministry of Health indicate. They will serve to temporarily house the corpses until they can be given a Christian burial.

The Monte Sinaí Hospital will have more than 130 beds and 37 intensive care units, which will be exclusively for treating patients with coronavirus.

In Guayas there are several complaints from relatives who demand that the authorities remove the bodies of the deceased. From the Government, a protocol and a Task Force, in charge of Jorge Wated, were activated to solve this health problem.
