Cases of COVID-19 increases 130% on the last 12 hours in Ecuador

Three people recovered: 33, 36 and 66 who were in isolation at home.

In Ecuador, this Thursday, March 19, 2020, 260 confirmed cases of COVID-19 are registered, which means a 130% increase with the number of cases registered this morning. Guayas continues to be the province with the most cases and the first cases appear in Cañar, Loja and Imbabura.

There are 187 in Guayas, 8 in Manabí, 1 in Imbabura, 16 in Pichincha, 16 in Los Ríos, 2 in Bolívar, 2 in Chimborazo, 3 in Cañar, 14 Azuay, 1 in El Oro, 4 in Loja, 3 in Morona Santiago , 2 in Sucumbíos and 1 in Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas.

He confirmed that there are 481 suspected cases, 412 cases discarded and 746 people are part of the epidemiological fence and the death of one more person, in total there are 4 fatalities.

In addition, he mentioned that there are three people recovered: one of 33, another of 36 and one of 66 years who were in home isolation, who were part of the epidemiological fence of patient zero.

He explained that the three patients underwent the test on March 1. They passed their isolation and after 14 days the test was done again and they tested negative. According to the protocols, a second test must be performed 24 hours later, in which it was also negative for all three.

At the moment, these three people will have to remain in isolation for a time, as indicated in the protocol.
