Support for Argentine vice-president in view of judicial persecution

Politicians, deputies, officials and leaders of the Frente de Todos (FdT) reiterated their support to Argentine Vice President Cristina Fernández and condemned the judicial persecution against her.

Following an appeal filed by former President Mauricio Macri (2015-2019), the Federal Oral Court 2 initiated proceedings against the also holder of the Senate for alleged irregularities in the awarding of 51 public works in the province of Santa Cruz between 2003 and 2015.

On multiple occasions, Fernandez denounced being the victim of an unprecedented judicial harassment and recalled that the court of this territory dismissed the case for non-existence of the crime.

In statements to the press this morning, the Chief of Cabinet, Juan Manzur, assured that the innocence of the vice-president will be proven once again.

On his part, the Minister of Justice and Human Rights Martín Soria assured on the social network Twitter that “every official involved in the persecution against Fernández used to sneak into the office of Pepín Simón (former advisor) and Macri in the Casa Rosada”.

This is no coincidence. It is the most grotesque expression of lawfare in our country”, he said.

In turn, the deputy and general secretary of the Central de Trabajadores de Argentina, Hugo Yasky, pointed out that Fernandez is being harassed by the economic, media and judicial powers for being the only one who stood up for the people
