Mexico began vaccination agianst Covid-19 in eight years old children

Mexico began the vaccination against Covid-19 for eight years old children, which means it is about to complete its program for children up to the age of seven.

In a press release, the Secretariat said that the vaccination will be extended until August 5 and will coreespond to the first dose, although it did not announced when the second one will be aplied.

It adds that in the case of Mexico City, 55 vaccination points have been set up in a schedule that ends at 3:00 and each city hall will do it in a way that it does not interfere with scheduled activities with the children.

The vaccination mechanism will continue to be the same as it has been applied up to now, in alphabetical order according to the first surname of the child, therefore the alphabet will be divided in the five days enabled for the vaccination.

The Secretariat also reported in its daily informed that in the last 24 hours, Mexico reported 4,209 Covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of cases to 6,758,656 since February 2020 when the first case was reported.

Also during the same period, the country registered 13 more deaths, bringing the number of deaths to 327,730.
