Ecuador is the fourth country with the most expensive passport in the region

In Latin America, the most expensive passports in dollars are found in Venezuela, Uruguay, Panama and Ecuador. While the cheapest are in Argentina, El Salvador and the Dominican Republic.

In Ecuador, the value of the passport is USD 90. And this document allows its citizens to enter 92 countries without a visa, being one of the nations in the region that provides less access to other foreign states. For example, today the Ecuadorian passport does not have a free visa to enter the European Union or the United States.

The difference with other nations is that in Ecuador obtaining a passport has become a real challenge, since it takes at least three months for the process to be completed.

Several users have difficulties renewing it or taking it out for the first time, due to the scarcity of copies. And for the bribes charged by illegal processors.
