The Center for Research and Specialized Studies (CIEES) published its study on the approval of the President of the Republic, Guillermo Lasso, after one year in office.
The report shows that the president’s disapproval has increased notably because 7 out of 10 Ecuadorians have a negative image and describe his management as poor.
The survey was conducted in Quito, Guayaquil and Portoviejo with a sample of 1,220 cases. It has a confidence interval of 95% and a margin of error of 3% at the national level and 5% in cities.
The study revealed that 69% of Ecuadorians have a negative image of Lasso and only 29% have a positive image. In the same way, 70% rate his work as bad in the first year of his term and 74% of Ecuadorians do not trust the President.
On the other hand, 83% of respondents describe the current situation in the country as negative and 65% believe that Ecuador will be worse off in the coming years.
