Members of the National Union of Educators (UNE) closed the National Unity Bridge in Guayaquil.
The teachers demand that the Court ratify the reforms to the LOEI, among which is salary equality, after these were totally vetoed by President Guillermo Lasso.
The Constitutional Court has until May 23 to rule on the reforms; meanwhile, 31 teachers in Quito and Guayaquil have been on hunger strike for 14 days.
