President of Argentina received Prefect Paola Pabón

The President of Argentina, Alberto Fernández, received the Prefect of Pichincha, Paola Pabón. In this meeting, the provincial authority thanked the Argentine President for his solidarity, after she was deprived of her liberty for 72 days, due to an alleged crime of rebellion in the protests of October 2019.

Pabón and Fernández also shared the agenda that will be carried out for the Bicentennial of Pichincha and spoke about politics and governance in Latin America.

“Her affectionate words from her I carry in my heart and her advice to continue fighting for a united Great Homeland and social justice in memory.”

The Prefect also met with the Mayor of Ushuaia, Walter Vuoto, and delivered a floral offering to the fallen and heroes of the Malvinas war in the Plaza of this city.

Given this, Vuoto thanked the Prefect for the visit and pointed out that for his city it is very important to generate strategic alliances that allow us to improve the positioning of Ushuaia as a destination in the Latin American tourism market.

“Our city, in addition to its enormous quality tourist offer and its natural beauties, has a spatial attraction in the imagination of international tourists for being the city at the end of the world. For this reason, this alliance with the city in the “middle of the world” allows us to continue deepening in this differential positioning that our city has” highlighted Vuoto.
