After the military operation´s beginning in Ukraine, Russia received more than one million displaced people coming from the Donbass and other Ukrainian cities, the National Center for Defense Management reported.
The data provided to the press by the Russian agency´s head, Mijail Mizintsev, made reference that out of the total of refugees more than 183,000 are minors.
The Ministry of Defense´s representative detailed taht 288,000 have Russian nationality, 550,000 are residents of Donetsk and Luhansk People´s Republics and 170,000 are citizens of other states.
He confirmed that more than 35,000 of these people are staying in almost 500 temporary shelters in 48 Russian regions, including 12,000 minors, while the rest are staying with relatives, acquaintances and individuals.
Mizintsev explained that in the last 24 hours 16,480 displaced people, including 3,354 children arrived in Russia from Donetsk and Luhansk zones, as well as from territories that are curently under Russian forces.
On the other hand, the military chief denounced that the Ukrainian nationalists continue to hold 90 foreign citizens from five countries hostage. He added that 75 ships from 17 states are blocked in the ports of Kherson, Nikolayev, Chernomorsk, Ochakov, Odessa, Yuzhny and Mariupol.
