Ecuador registers 519 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours. However, the occupation of beds was reduced, according to the report of the Ministry of Health updated to April 5.
From February 29, 2020 to April 4, 862,351 confirmed cases of Covid-19 were registered nationwide and a day later, the figure rose to 862,870.
Ecuador reports 1,798,451 discarded cases, 147,288 probable and 35,449 deaths, according to a report from the Ministry of Health.
The Ministry of Health also indicated that in the hospitalization area of the public network they are occupied at 5% and in Intensive Care at 8%.
Meanwhile, in the hospitalization area of the medical centers of the IESS, the Armed Forces and the National Police, the beds are occupied by 23% and in Intensive Care by 45%, for which a small reduction in compared to the previous day, especially in the ICU.
