The third humanitarian flight coordinated by the Ecuadorian Government landed at the Mariscal Sucre airport in Quito, on the morning of this Monday, March 14.
The flight left Poland, made a stopover in Madrid (Spain) and then continued its course to Ecuador with 192 people on board and 42 pets that escaped the conflict between Ukraine and Russia.
Foreign Minister Juan Carlos Holguín lamented that many compatriots decided to stay in Poland.
Colombian and Peruvian citizens who fled the war also traveled on the aircraft.
After the passengers disembarked, an inter-institutional team facilitated the departure and the meeting with their families, who were anxiously awaiting them.
The foreign minister stated that it was possible to return the largest number of compatriots, who have decided to return to their families in Ecuador.
