(Prensa Latina) The entire campaign against the Mexican government comes from the United States, President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador denounced on Thursday at his morning press conference, this time from Tijuana, Baja California.
In an analysis about the wave of assassination of journalists, he condemned the aggressive campaign against them by reactionary media people such as Carlo Loret de Mola, Ciro Gomez, Claudio X and other highly paid professionals when, in general, reporters earn very little.
He insisted that the whole campaign comes from the United States, from business companies, major newspapers and also from the government of Washington that pays high sums of money to mercenary journalists through institutions such as USAID. Lopez Obrador will notify President Joe Biden, he said.
I represent a legal and democratically institutional, constituted authority, and we are going to continue dealing with all this because these are very important issues, he said.
It is necessary to prove that, in the world, media power is used to impose corruption procedures so that companies can steal with impunity. He accused these companies not only of dominating the media, but also of being the ones that empower those who govern. The people do not elect them. Instead, big corporations favor the parties through the media, even those who govern without the ability to lead.
It is necessary to unveil and investigate what is behind these things, and how the media and those mercenary journalists, who earn millions of dollars a year, are financed.
