US Senate approves resolution limiting Trump to take military action against Iran

This initiative was promoted by the Democrats. However, Trump will try to veto this decision.

On Thursday, February 13, 2020, the United States Senate passed the bill that would prevent President Doland Trump from initiating military operations against Iran. This initiative was supported by several Democratic officials.

However, through his Twitter account, on February 12, the US president asked the Senate not to approve the resolution of Iran’s Powers of War.

In January, this resolution was passed by the House of Representatives and was promoted by the Democrats in response to the escalation in relations between Washington and Tehran after the attack that killed Iranian General Qassem Soleimani.

In Trump’s statements, “US citizens overwhelmingly support the Washington attack. “If I had my hands tied it would be a great opportunity for Iran,” he added.
