Venezuela to maintain strategic alliances with other nations in 2022

(Prensa Latina) President Nicolas Maduro assured that Venezuela will maintain the same foreign policy implemented until today, in order to strengthen strategic alliances with other nations and regional organizations.

During the annual report to the National Assembly on Saturday, the president reiterated that Venezuela will not go back one millimeter in alliances with emerging powers.

He assured that Venezuela has reached the goal of vaccination against Covid-19 thanks to allied nations, “we believe in a world of peace where imperialism and hegemonism definitively cease to exist,” he said.

Maduro highlighted the help from Cuba, China and Russia, during the Covid-19 pandemic, which made it possible to control it and the high immunization rates that the country has achieved so far (95 percent).

He called on all the people to join the defense of the nation, history and national identity.

Maduro noted that important plans to produce food, medicine and vaccines will be promoted with the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Peoples Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP).

The president stressed that this regional bloc is already a moral and diplomatic power and will soon become an economic power, and urged the member countries to recover the essential projects that gave life to this alliance.

“The ALBA-TCP will once again cross the Caribbean seas to bring services to sister nations,” Maduro said.
