The province of Pichincha registers 208,982 confirmed cases of coronavirus, with a cutoff to Tuesday, January 11, 2022. That is, in the last 48 hours, there were 2,696 new cases, with an average of 1,350 infections each day.
This information was released by the Ministry of Public Health, in its epidemiological report. The institution reported that, of this number, the city of Quito is the one with the most infections, with 193,338 cases.
In the Cayambe canton, meanwhile, 2,087 cases are registered. In Mejía, 4,357. In Pedro Moncayo, 542. In Pedro Vicente Maldonado, 446. In Puerto Quito, 564. In Rumiñahui, 6,859. And in San Miguel de los Bancos, 789 confirmed cases.
Nationwide, there are 578,525 confirmed cases of COVID-19. Of this number, the province of Pichincha is the one with the most cases. In second place is Guayas, with 89 thousand 106. In third place Manabí, with 39 thousand 611. And in fourth place Azuay, with 30 thousand 443.
